Hans Baindner, Gefreiter (corporal) MG machinegunner of Jäger Regiment 228, 101 Jäger Division, served in the German Wehrmacht from 1943-45. He was highly decorated for his extreme battlefeild bravery and leadership being awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross, Iron Cross (1st & 2nd class), two Tank Destruction Badges for single handed destruction of enemy tanks, Close Combat Clasp and Infantry Assault badge. Hans Baindner survived the war and passed away aged 79.

This painting is unframed and it is recomended to have it professionaly framed for best presentation, care and protection. Avoid rolling or bending the painting as this could cause permanent damage, always keep it flat. The very outer edges of the painting will show a minimal amount of unpainted paper, however, this will be covered when set into a frame.
