Kurt Kuhlmey pictured here during his service in North Africa where he became Gruppenkommandeur of II./StG 3 in 1942. Kuhlmey served as a ground attack pilot in the Luftwaffe during 1939-45, flying over 500 combat missions in many campaigns including Poland, Norway, France, Britain, North Africa, the Mediterranean, Finland and Russia. He commanded two air wings during his service and was awarded the Knights Cross in July 1942. Kurt Kulmey survived the war and went on to retire as a Major General of the West German Bundeswehr.

This painting is unframed and it is recomended to have it professionaly framed for best presentation, care and protection. Avoid rolling or bending the painting as this could cause permanent damage, always keep it flat. The very outer edges of the painting will show a minimal amount of unpainted paper, however, this will be covered when set into a frame.
